The Poem

The Peom

The poem i want with share is from my heart
From my mind but where to start
Id probably begin with just a word
Nothing radical, nothing personal and certainly nothing odd

A poem without an end
Is life itself
Like an old book waiting to be read
Perched on top a dusty shelve

A poem that depicts a journey
Letters through infinity
Some say poem seeks to mesmerize time
While others hope to Hipnotize u with every ryme

A poem should be fun
Let emotions and imaginations run
Its about what we can relate to
And the words should be few

Id gladly give you a book
But what good is it if its never written
Like the chef cook
Whose meals were never eaten

A poem about love and life
When you fail someone or something
Pick urself up, You will survive
But thats, no thats not the begining

This poem is probably about music
About the strings
forget the words it is still melodic
but the violins and madolins will lead you
Just dont forget to listen

I'll slow down
I hope you are following
Look my feet are on the ground
But I know your must be racing

Like what we hear
This Poem comes with the tune
The sight, the touch
never to fear
we are fully immuned

A poem filled with words
Has its features
Like a paint without the brush
You'll eventually get the picture

Would it bother if its about Death or mystery
violence or fiction
Or would you settle with laughters and happy ending
Or acomplished mission

A poem from an islander
should probably be about an island
but when passion is drawn from under
theres more beneath the ladder

A poem about fate and destiny
art and creativity
Facts and fantasy
Theres more in store now i see

Buts whats a poem without its poet
A music without the composer?
A singer in a duet?
Or a winner without a loser?

My poem is of self discovery
A journey a dream
but where to start
and when to end is just the begining..
so it seemed

Secrets In The Deep

The sea, the ocean, the water, the beauty.... the innocence?
Last year there were many headlines about oil spill in the ocean killing animal and nature itself and also last year the Costa Concordia disaster was the partial sinking of the Italian cruise ship Costa Concordia when it ran aground at Isola del Giglio, Tuscany, on 13 January 2012 with the loss of 32 lives. Heres a poem I wrote about the beautiful long stretched water that surrounds us with the secrets in the deep.

Secrets In The Deep

They say man couldn't live without me
But if there is too much, one could die because of me
If there is more of me, the fittest will struggle to surface
I'm beautiful from above
and even more fascinating below
You can sit and watch from the cove
Inhale the wonders the nature bestow

They say the scent can heal
The sound can revive
The adventure appeal
But will you come out alive?

Sail on me, Ride with me
Sail on forever
Though the waves you must beat
Fetch my temper
Dive whatever
The unexpected is your treat

They say I'm beautiful
What do you say?
When I'm calm I can lure your spirit
Call you to the tropics
Like a mother I guard the continents
Burrying my trophies

Thats what all of them say
But if I could speak instead of roar
If I could shout you wouln't understand
For I 'am but a wave crushing on the shore

Listen closely you will hear me weep
Naturally I'am beautiful but my bed is littered in the deep
Valuable items to the least wanted mess
Man spill the un-natural waste on me and more
One could only guess

Killing my beauty, destroying infinity
Now look closely I will open my treasure chest

Your floating Godesses lay in my dark cradle
Rusted and battered on its original position
I took titanic down in a flick of a violin's fiddle
A careless monster wrecked my shore
Now Concordia will never sail anymore

I swallowed a great number of iron birds too
During your wars they crashed into me to ease the fume
I did what I can but the rest I consume
Too heavy too float the end you can assume

Millions of lives find their resting place in me
Is it my fault or do you want it to be
Blame it on the nature who can not speak
Still it won't set you free

I can never be sentenced
I can never be judged
It is you who will face the pressure
While some truth will never merge

It is hard not to invest in my beauty
Though you are slowly killing me
I will forever reflect the sky
Dance with the wind
And sleep to your delight

Calm as i can be
I'am still a grave site

Thinking of you this Easter!!!

Good Friday is a religious holiday observed primarily by Christians commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary. The holiday is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum on the Friday preceding Easter Sunday, and may coincide with the Jewish observance of Passover. It is also known as Holy Friday, Great Friday, Black Friday, or Easter Friday, though the latter properly refers to the Friday in Easter week.

Its Good Friday and i want to share with my readers who have been reading my journal blog some very inspiring messages i have recieved from friends through email and i want you to be part of this Easter circle too..

As a Christian i often ask myself the question "Why do i have to go to church?" I'm sure what ever religion you are this question can temt you to seek ansewrs you already know but then again our believes grows more stronger with questions like this.

Below is an email that answers my doubts.... I hope it answers yours too!

WHY GO TO CHURCH?

If you're spiritually alive, you're going to love this!
If you're spiritually dead, you won't want to read it.

If you're spiritually curious, there is still hope!

Why Go To Church?

A Church goer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday.
"I've gone for 30 years now," he wrote, "and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the pastors are wasting theirs by giving sermons at all."

This started a real controversy in the "Letters to the Editor" column, much to the delight of the editor. It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher:

"I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this. They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to church for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!" When you are DOWN to nothing..... God is UP to something! Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible! Thank God for our physical AND our spiritual nourishment!

Here's another inspiring parable to help motivate you for this Easter!!!

The Greatest example of a good leader is Our Lord Jesus Christ!!

Okay!! Read on!!!

A successful businessman was growing old and
knew it was time to choose a successor to take over the business.

Instead of choosing one of his Directors or his children, he decided to do something different. He called all the young executives in his company together.

He said, "It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO. I have decided to choose one of you. "The young executives were Shocked, but the boss continued. "I am going to give each one of you a SEED today - one very special SEED. I want you to plant the seed, water it, and come back here one year from today with what you have grown from the seed I have given you.
I will then judge the plants that you bring, and the one
I choose will be the next CEO."

One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the others, received a seed. He went home and excitedly, told his wife the story. She helped him get a pot, soil and compost and he planted the seed. Every day, he would water it and watch to see if it had grown. After about three weeks, some of the other executives began to talk about their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow.

Jim kept checking his seed, but nothing ever grew

Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by, still
nothing.
By now, others were talking about their plants,
but Jim didn't have a plant and he felt like a failure.

Six months went by -- still nothing in Jim's pot. He just knew he had killed his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing
Jim didn't say anything to his colleagues, however, he just kept watering and fertilizing the soil - He so wanted the seed to grow.

A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company
brought their plants to the CEO for inspection.

Jim told his wife that he wasn't going to take an empty pot.
But she asked him to be honest about what happened. Jim felt sick to his
stomach, it was going to be the most embarrassing moment of his life, but he knew his wife was right. He took his empty pot to the boardroom.

When  Jim arrived, he was amazed at the variety of  plants grown by the other executives.  They  were beautiful - in all shapes and sizes   Jim put his empty pot on the floor and many of  his colleagues laughed, a few felt sorry  for  him!

When the CEO arrived,  he surveyed the room and greeted his young  executives.

Jim  just  tried to hide in the back. "My, what great  plants,  trees and flowers you have grown,"  said the CEO. "Today one of you will be  appointed the next CEO!"

All of a  sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the back of the  room with his empty pot. He ordered the  Financial Director to  bring him to the  front.  Jim was terrified.. He thought,  "The  CEO knows I'm a failure! Maybe he  will have me  fired!"

When  Jim got to the front, the CEO asked him what had  happened to his seed,Jim told him the  story.
The  CEO asked  everyone to sit down except Jim.  He looked  at Jim, and then announced to the young  executives, "Behold your next Chief Executive  Officer!

His name is "Jim!"  Jim  couldn't believe it.  Jim couldn't even  grow his seed.
"How could he be  the new CEO?" the others said.
Then  the CEO said, "One year ago today, I gave  everyone in this room a seed.  I told you  to take the seed, plant it, water it, and bring  it back to me today.  But I gave you all  boiled seeds; they were dead - it was not  possible for them to grow.

All of  you, except Jim, have brought me trees and  plants and flowers.  When you found that  the seed would not grow, you substituted another  seed for the one I gave you.  Jim was  the  only one with the courage and honesty  to bring me a pot with my seed in it.   Therefore, he is the one who will be the  new Chief Executive  Officer!"

*  If you plant  honesty, you will reap  trust
*  If you plant  goodness, you will reap friends
*  If  you plant humility, you will reap   greatness
*  If you plant  perseverance, you will reap  contentment
*  If you plant  consideration, you will reap  perspective
*  If you plant hard  work, you will reap   success
*  If you plant  forgiveness, you will reap  reconciliation

So,  be  careful what you plant now;it will determine  what you will reap  later. Think about this for a  minute.

If I happened to show up on your door step crying, would you care?

If I called you and asked you to pick me up because something happened, would you come?

If I had one day left to live my life, would you be part of that last day?

If I needed a shoulder to cry on, would you give me yours?

This is a test to see who your real
friends are or if you are just someone to talk to you when they are bored.

Do you know what the relationship is between your two eyes?

They blink together,
they move together,
they cry together,
they see things together,
and they sleep together,
but they never see each other;
that's what friendship is.
Your aspiration is your motivation, your
motivation is your belief ,
your belief is your peace,
your peace is your target,
your target is heaven,
and life is like hard core
torture without it!

Well i hope my Easter Post inspires you today!!!

Pacific Arts Poem!!

One of the major highlights in Solomon Islands last year is the fact that we hosted the 11th Festival of Pacific Arts last year. It was a once in a life time opportunity, I wouldn't miss it for the world.
It is rather amazing and astounding to see many different colors of people from different background and ethnicity coming together to showcase their culture and talent also displaying the fact that we had something in common. The fact that we have to adapt to the changes this modern world concieves in our pure nature. The fact that we have to improvise the story to share with each other and with foreigners whilst keeping our identitiy and traditions in tact.
The fact that three different races is nothing without their diverse humble begining.

There are so many facts to be stated but above all;
The fact that we come together to celebrate and share our Culture and traditions in the form of ART!
IS THE FACT THAT WE ARE PACIFICANS

Festival of Pacific Arts!!

Dazzling display of local gemstones in the middle of the sea of colours
Priceless to pay and still some undiscovered
Yellow, fair, white, brown, black the skin reflects the limits of our land
Curly, frizzy, soft, straight, our features will make you understand
Who we are
What we do
Where we are from
How we call this place home

Tiny islets spread across the world's largest ocean
We have no four seasons
No winter to wreck the sunshine
No autumn to bare our trees down to its naked vine
But a few rain now and then
A cyclone perhaps
But apart from that there are no mishap

Clad in barks
Our history has its mark
Printed on our skin
Scarring our culture close to our hearts

Dances have its story
Expressions has its glory
Amidst the spectacle you see one or two sharing memory

Its hard to believe that different by feature
We are one in nature
Divided by shorelines
The ocean combines

Linguists links our language
Archaelogists connects the traditions
Historians write our home page
While we preserve what the commotion

Change is inevitable
The tide still have to rise
Civilisation can be flexible
Twisting the truth with the lies

Divided by mother tongue in our community
Bounded by churches in our society
Seperated by water and flags potraying our country
But take us out into the world
You will find more than you bargain for

The beat of the drums and the sound of the panpipes
The bursting laughters and endless smile
The humour in between countless mile
The humble begining worth more than dime

Take us out into the big world
Where everything is bright
It will never burn out our light
It shines even brighter when we are alone
Listen to our words and our tone

Here we gather each year
This is where you can come around
Find us all in one spot and it will be clear
Pacifica we stand our ground
